Staci Leavitt Kobren Since 1989, Staci Leavitt Kobren, Registered Dietitian,and Counselor, has been the founder and president of Staci Leavitt Mind & Body, Inc, an outpatient eating disorder/nutrition counseling center staffed by dietitians, psychotherapists and affiliated with medical doctors. Under her close supervision and guidance, the highly motivated team helps patients deal with anorexia, bulimia, yo-yo dieting, compulsive overeating, nutritional counseling, medical diets and psychotherapy. Trust, individual support and proper diet instruction are the keys to her unique program. Staci is a National support group leader for Eating Disorders (ANAD) She has been featured on many radio and television shows, including Good Day New York, Fox News, ABC, and Discovery channel. Staci lectures to small and very large groups throughout the metropolitan area. Staci has three beautiful children of her own and offers child care for her staff on site, therefore they could be there for their children as well as dedicated to our patients.
Leigh Slobodow After graduating with a dietetics degree from the University of Rhode Island, Leigh Slobodow began working at Staci Leavitt Mind & Body in Januarry 1994. She then became a registered dietitian after attending NYIT's intense graduate and internship program. Leigh often provides lectures to parents and children on the effects and treatments of eating disorders. She also has assisted in running our monthly ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa & Associated Disorders) support groups.
Jamie Rapfogel CSW Jamie Rapfogel has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 17 years. In the past, she has worked with individuals and groups in a college setting focusing on addictions, eating disorders and many other life issues. Jamie has been working with the team at Staci Leavitt Mind & Body since 2003.
Kathleen Logsdon, MS, RD
Kathleen Logsdon, MS, RD, has
been a member of the team at Staci Leavitt Mind and Body since 2001. She
is a NY state certified dietitian-nutritionist and an ACE certified
personal trainer. She received a BS degree from the University of North
Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1986 and a Masters Degree from Virginia Tech in
1991. While helping our clients to adopt healthier eating habits, she
also encourages them to make behavioral changes which will last a
lifetime.
Danielle Keiser, LCSW-R. Danielle Keiser became a certified
social worker 19 years ago. She
received her BA in psychology from Binghamton University and her masters degree
from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She also completed a one year
Certificate Program from the National Institute of Psychotherapies in NYC. In the past, Danielle primarily worked
with sexually abused children and adolescents as well as adult survivors of
childhood sexual abuse. Danielle
is the newest member of the Staci Leavitt Mind and Body Staff as she joined the
team in 2009.
Shelley Sybul, Office Manager, has been a member of the team at Staci Leavitt Mind and Body since 2006. She fields all calls and manages all appointments between you and the entire staff. She is able to answer all your question before your initial visit and is always happy to assist the patients in whatever extra support they may need.
